Members of Leon County's charter-review committee have heard from commissioners and other elected officials, and now they want to hear from you.

The committee is meeting Thursday to get input from the public on possible changes to the county charter, which spells out how the local government operates. The charter-review committee meets at 5:30 p.m. this Thursday in commission chambers at the County Courthouse, 301 S. Monroe St. Please consider attending if you'd like to have your voice heard.

One issue that's already drawing comments from the public and commissioners is whether to make commission races partisan again. The races were changed to nonpartisan in 2002 when voters approved the county charter.
